It does sound rude when people do that. It's also quite manipulative as it implies that the other person, usually someone who is doing their job in some way, has overstepped the mark and is too stupid/overzealous/up themselves to see how out of order they are.

back to track....

people (esp. at work) who do such a shoddy job knowing that there won't be time for them to 'learn' the task (not taht tey don't know it anyway) and correct it - thereby leaving it as a problem for someone else....

Just dishonest lack of effort and general laziness.

one chap in particular, who would happily watch his colleague struggle, stay late, work weekends and pretend he was too busy to help. I've now moved into this role and it's apparent he did absolutely nothing..

he now knows I know and is very nervous at having been caught out.

I would have stopped writing after "TV Presenters Like Rav Wilding".....!!

when people write 'been' instead of 'being' - they probably say it too but it sounds the same.

example - the grass is been mowed as we speak.

It's incorrect and really bugs me (not to the point of annoyance, so maybe it doesn't qualify for this OP?)

I had an RSPB catalogue through the post the other day.

There is a whole Christmas section at the end, with a discount if you order cards and stuff before the end of August :))

I cannot remember where I read this, but I know that I did : 'loose' for lose is the number one spelling mistake.

Does the Fox work for them? He seems to be quite into this Xmas lark mid-summer.

Men who wear proper leather shoes with no socks and slightly rolled up jeans/trousers so that you can see their mankles. *shudders*

I have tried 4-5 times.. Fails at 32% - 6% on devices..

Performed rundll32.exe pnpclean.dll,RunDLL_PnpClean /DRIVERS /MAXCLEAN

and performed a recomended disk clean.

Still failed.. Now given up. Evidently ESET nod32 a/v has problems with Window 10.

    • The problem is Starmer can't shut up about his dad being a tool maker, they made Keir,  a right prize tool. Reeves continually blames the previous Govt, but correct me if I'm wrong but inflation was decreasing, unemployment was stagnant, with decreases and the occasional increase, things were beginning to stabalise overall.    Then we had the election 4 July when Starmer and co swept to power, three months on things are worse than they were before, yet Reeves continues to blame the former Govt. The national debt doubled overnight with public sectors all getting a wage increase and now the budget that penalises business with the increase in Employers national insurance. The result of which will be increased prices in the shops, increased inflation, increased numbers of redundancies, increased unemployment and increased pressures on the DWP to fund this    Future growth will go backwards and become negative, farmers will no longer farm in protest against the Govt, more people will become poorer and unable to pay their bills, things will spiral out of control and we'll have a repeat of the General Strike until this bunch of inept politicians resign and Kemi and co prevent the ship from hitting the iceberg and sinking.
    • Indeed so.  Just noting there are other options and many children and indeed young adults may well be perplexed and/or irritated by a cheque.
    • My experience of the CT is that when they screw up, their first instinct is to cover up. They are also shameless liars.
