Robert Poste's Child
HmB,you want to try wearing tights: what you said, but all the way up your leg, and you only realise once they've cut off your femoral artery, AND if you try to straighten them rather than taking them off and starting again your irritation will make a hole so you have to throw them away and find a new pair anyway.Twisted sock? You don't know when you're well off. Alan Medic
I've often wondered how warm are tights? Even in Winter you see women wearing short skirts and tights. The shiny ones are not very attractive at all and on a par with a shiny suit. Help-Ma-Boab
I wore tights once, 15 denier, enjoyed the sensation of putting them on. All of a sudden I felt freezing. Was weird. ( fancy dress thing)..but still a strange experience. Robert Poste's Child
At this time of year you want your thermal tights on, at least for daytime. M&S heatgen are good because they're as thin as normal opaque tights but warmer, whereas the traditional thermal ones with wool are too bulky. To complete your winter granny chic look you need a thermal vest under the dress, knee-length boots, socks and a cashmere cardie. Then you should be toasty. Nigello
Ahem....People who say "students" when they really ought to say "pupils", especially if they think it makes them sound more modern, trans-Atlantic and/or like they're "empowering" school children by giving them a more adult-sounding name. Robert Poste's Child
The woman who stepped off the pavement into the path of my bike and said rather accusingly 'no lights'. A bit harsh considering I had four, two at the front and two at the back, even if the battery on the main front one was wearing down. She'd stand a better change of seeing them if she actually looked. KidKruger
Sticky-out hair at back of head which looks like I've just got up, even after a dozen showers and 8kg of hair gel insists on being sticky-out.I don't mind it looks-wise, at all, I DO mind it not laying flat when I tell it to.
