Some people even buy coffee in Pret by Card. Its something to do with 'A Cashless Society' or some such carp!

I often end up paying by card simply because I've drunk my way through my cash or I'm getting a bigger round than I'd expected.

Or I'm skint and drinking on credit.

Fair enough on all accounts Otta, if that's the case, but some people/mates included just don't bother with cash and it drives me nuts waiting to get served. Even more so when the machine takes forever....

I go out for lunch occasionally with colleagues, most of whom, like me, are self-employed. One does the above and then grabs the receipt to claim the entire lunch as expenses. Rest of us too polite to say anything.
