I indeed witnessed this yesterday evening in Camberwell. What was more disturbing was the state of the gentleman's toe nails *shudders*

I probably wouldn't have noticed otherwise!

Worse - parents who sit their happily whilst their little darling plays a game with the sound on. Teach them good manners FFS.

Passing a Money Shop in Forest Hill on the bus, I was astounded to see a large sign in the window offering short-term loans at 2961% APR.

I thought I must have misread it, but I've just looked up their website, which says:

Representative example: ?200 Loan. Total amount repayable in a single payment of ?259.98 in 28 days. Annual interest rate 390.94% (variable). 2961.4% APR representative.

And underneath that, it says

"Warning: Late repayment can cause you serious money problems."

They're not f-ing joking, are they?

No wonder people who are already poor enough to need this kind of "service" spiral further and further into debt :( :( :(

Bastards.

Sorry, this probably isn't a tiny little thing, but it has certainly caused me enormous rage, irrational or not I have no idea.

The last tic tac in the box that resolutely refuses to come free from the bottom. Gentle tap with forefinger, nothing. Harder tap with forefinger and index finger, not even a minor movement. Bang box of table, nope still laughing at me. ARRRRRRGH, smashes box with hammer.

it was originally shorthand for expressing yourself online the humble bit meaning to convey that it was just your opinion not necessarily the correct answer. Please don't anyone come on here and say differently. I AM RIGHT ABOUT THIS.

    • Hello My husband bought and sold CDs but is no longer trading. I auctioned off all his collection of records and CDs 2/3 years ago. He had a lot of new CD jewel cases and trays which I’ve been trying to sell off cheaply on this forum… Unsuccessful! I just want them gone now as I was asked by  a shop to count them up and they are cluttering up the hallway. I’ve just had cataract surgery and not advised to lift stuff… I have: 200 CD clear cases with black trays 30 orange CD cases with orange trays  75 black double CD cases with black trays  240 CD clear cases 650 black CD trays  65 clear CD trays Also 3/4 boxes of new DVD cases,  Let me know if you’d like to collect any of the above free. You can give a donation to cancer charity if you like!  kind regards  Eleanor

    • I agree that I enjoy seeing the variety of wild flowers growing naturally in the streets and would much prefer that they were not destroyed. (The South London Botanical Institute actually conduct wildflower identification walks on street wild flowers.) However, as the council consider themselves to be responsible for removing these plants, it's better that they now dig them out rather than spraying them with toxic herbicide, as they used to do - a step in the right direction.
