Kind hearted cat lover wanted

An elderly neighbour has become unwell and unable to take care of her 12 year old cat, who has diabetes and kidney failure. Obviously if he ends up in a cat refuge we believe he will just be put to sleep as it will be difficult to rehome him.

Any offers or suggestions welcome-thanks!

How sad. Has your neighbour asked the Cats Protection charity if they could take him? I don't think they put animals to sleep and can often match older/unwell cats to good homes.

Our paired rabbits got ill @ 6/7 years old - one died- the other went to the big hutch on the sky via LL vets surgery a few days later. She wouldnt eat or move.

fair point, it depends on quality of life. Not eating or moving then you know its time - and kindest to take them to the vet.

If its a resounding no, then clearly rehoming is not an option as that in itself can be very stressful without a serious illness to consider.

If they are anywhere near me, I could pop round and feed, fuss, and check up on him for her. I love cats.
