Nimble Arts Creative Holiday Clubs for 4-11 year olds - this summer - extended hours until 6pm!

Recommended Posts

We're in the thick of planning our May and summer Nimble Arts creative holiday club activities, and are delighted to launch our first three weeks of summer holiday club held at Goose Green Primary School from the 27th July to the 14th August, and we've still a few places left for our May half term holiday club! Book before the 10th May for to save ?15 on our summer holiday club bookings with our 'early bird' booking discount .

If you've not used Nimble Arts before, you can find our more at www.nimblearts.co.uk (including lots of pictures from past courses), and we've popped some feedback from parents at the bottom here, but to fill you in.. We're a local organisation, run by two musicians, teachers and workshop leaders, Catherine (oft known as Miss Burgis!) and Becky, and we're an Ofsted registered, full day childcare organisation with creativity at our heart. We work with a team of professional artists, musicians and actors to deliver high quality and (importantly!) great fun days, and we make sure our adult to child ratios are low, and all our staff have proven experience of working with and delivering quality workshops for young children! Each day is different, and you can choose whichever combination of days works for you. We do tend to book up in advance, particularly on mid-week days, so would advise early booking!

The details are:

What parents have said about Nimble Arts....

?Thanks so much for last Tuesday?s band workshop. Evie enjoyed it so much and can?t stop talking about it.? Ian, Parent

?Just thought I?d pass on that D said today was fantastic ? and the best day of her half term by some way!? Emma, Parent

?As a granny responsible for some fetching and taking of two participants, I just wanted to say how impressed I was by the teachers running the course. They were so gentle, friendly and positive and understood brilliantly my rather quirky 8-year-old grand-daughter. How wonderful if all primary school teachers could be like them!? Brigid, Grandparent

?they also loved the band who came in on Tuesday, it?s really the best holiday club they?ve ever been to!? Parent

Via Twitter: ?I love Nimble Arts, it?s the best holiday club in the area by far!? #eastdulwich

From the East Dulwich Forum: ?It?s really very good ? they do absolutely loads and it?s very creative and fun

We've still a bit of room left to join us for the May half term holiday, so come and get creative and dodge those gloomy skies. Places are left on all days, although the Mad Professors Lab (Wednesday) is now looking quite full, and the Tuesday and Thursday are also beginning to fill up. Lots of room to come and sing with us on the Friday!

There's still time to join us this May half term, but get in there quick... spaces for summer are beginning to go quickly (we're impressed by how organised many of you are!), and don't forget there's early bird discount booking available until the 10th May (save ?10 on your booking).

We're still finalising plans for the last two weeks of the summer, so watch this space!

Places update for next week...

Tuesday 26th: Drama: 10 spaces left (both morning and afternoon slots available for 4 year olds

Wednesday 27th: Mad Professor's Lab (cross-arts day): VERY LIMITED SPACES - 2 full day spaces, NO MORNING SPACES for 4 year olds, 6 afternoon spaces for 4 year olds

Thursday 28th: Arts and Crafts (sock monsters, dream catchers and bedroom bunting!): 4 full day spaces, NO MORNING SPACES for 4 year olds, 7 afternoon spaces for 4 year olds

Friday 29th: Sing School: Plenty of spaces left!

We'll be keeping an eye on the inbox and bookings over the bank holiday weekend, and will update on here when full - suspect we'll be sold out for Wednesday and Thursday, but should have space for Friday up until the day.

And don't forget second tier early bird summer booking ends on the 10th June - get your booking in before this and save ?10 on your booking - places are filling up pretty quickly, particularly mid-week days, so get in there quick. We're exploring the possibilities of an extended day for summer bookings, and will update if and when this becomes available, as we understand a 5pm pick-up is quite early!

Thanks to all the feedback we've received, we're now offering a limited number of extended hour places for our summer holiday club, with optional 5-6pm spaces now available! You can book these online, and if you've already booked and would like to add extended hours, just email [email protected].

Update on the Nimble Arts Summer plans!

We still have spaces available for all days at our Goose Green Holiday Club from the 22nd July - 14th August, although they're filling up fast - particularly the mid-week days, and the week of the 10th August is well over half full on most days, so get your booking in soon to avoid disappointment... We're nearly finished planning everything, so we'll have more detailed information about all the days, including our raft of special creative guests, will be online in the next few days.

EARLY BIRD BOOKING has been extended until the 30th July, so enter code 'earlybird' if you book before then and save ?10 on your whole booking.

As you may have seen, we had originally been planning on running courses from the 17th August to the end of the holidays, but sadly we've been unable to find the perfect venue that's safe and suitable - our normal host, Heber, is having building work this summer, and other schools and community centres are having deep cleans those weeks. This does mean we'll be available for birthday parties and bespoke workshops during this final end of the summer!

If you'd like to find out more about Nimble, there are LOTS of photos of past workshops on our Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/NimbleArtsLondon), search on here for recommendations, or just take a browse on our website at www.nimblearts.co.uk. We're happy to answer any enquiries by email at [email protected]

    • We went there yesterday for lunch, which was really delicious and excellent value. A starter plus a main is £11.95 for their "lunchtime special". Just a main is £8.95. We had excellent gyozas to start, then I had pad thai and my partner had a stir fry, both with tofu. They were large helpings,  freshly cooked, with fresh veg. There is the option to have chicken or beef (prawns are £2 extra) Also they now have Thai beer (Singha) on draught or in bottles (previously it was being your own alcohol). The service was also good. We were sorry and surprised not to see more people in there, particularly as there was a match on. It is really worth the short walk from Lordship Lane!
