minder
Depends on their age really, but local park is always a great choice. alieh
There seem to be some good events at the Discover Story Centre in Stratford on Monday. I looked at TFL journey planner but just wondered if anyone who has done it found an easy way? Thanks! mima08
Hiya - to get to the Discover Story Centre we used overground to Canada Water, then Jubilee line - took about 30/45 min. edanna
I think Discover is great for you younger children but maybe less so from about 7ish. The olympic park is nearby though and great if the weather is nice. acb2013
We had a lovely day out at the Olympic Park on the Easter weekend - was a bit of a mixed weather forecast so we took the kids swimming in the Olympic pool (various family sessions running; great, clean facilities at reasonable prices), climbed the Orbit tower thingie, then went to the playground and splashed in the fountains.
