Advice wanted on starting Honda CBR600 please

Can anyone offer some advice on starting my 1989 CBR600 please? I can only offer tea/coffee/beer in return but would really appreciate some help if you can spare some time and expertise.

Massive thank you to Spoiltdog for getting my bike going for me - not only is he a dab hand at decorating and gardening, but he coaxes temperamental bikes back to life too!

Very much appreciated, can't recommend him enough and looking forward to flies in my teeth later this weekend.
