Have been umming and aahing about what to do with all my maternity wear, baby kit and baby clothes for ages, and as we've just had our loft converted, been forced into action!

I promise this isn't a stealth 'sales' pitch - I'm genuinely interested in how you would shift it. I thought about going to a NCT sale but from what I understand it's not cheap and can be really painful logistically (I think they insist on certain things, like a fully completed inventory on what's for sale, all the clothes hung up individually on white hangers etc.!).

I've got a fair amount of Isabella Oliver maternity wear which I thought I'd ebay, some 'big' baby bits like the Bjorn bouncer, maxi cosi, moses basket that I thought I'd sell on the forum, then lots of baby clothes from John Lewis, Gap, JoJo etc that I thought I'd sell in bundles on ebay or individually for some of the nicer/ less worn stuff. Is this how you'd go about it? I'm not bothered on getting 'top whack' for everything - I just want to sell it as painlessly as possible for a fair enough price.

id start with the forum and then move to eBay.

bundles don't seem to go so well on here these days so maybe eBay for those. but edf is so much easier when it works! i ended up giving away most of the clothes i had and it was a lot easier, the photographing them is quite painful if there are a lot.

otherwise you can go to stalls where you have your own table which is probably less work. they don't get the crowds that Nct do though.

good luck!

    • I'd like to post a recommendation for Jerry Oscar of H.F.U. Ltd.   Jerry has just completed the renovation of my bathroom and I’m so happy with how it turned out.  My bathroom has a strange layout (with about a quarter of the room/floor space un-useable due to the stairs underneath), but he came up with some great ideas that have really made the most of the space - somehow he turned the room into a tardis and made room for a bath (previously only had a shower) AND even given me extra storage. He's a magician!  I felt he really cares about what he does and treated the project like it was his own home. He was also great to have around – super friendly, easy to talk to and raise any queries or concerns with the project, and he was very respectful of the space. He kept his tools tidy and made sure the bathroom was still usable while he worked, which made a big difference day to day. He doesn’t cut corners and clearly has high standards.  I’m honestly so pleased with how everything turned out. If you’re looking for someone reliable and skilled, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Jerry. He does kitchens too, and if I ever redo mine, I’ll be giving him a call. • These Gents are amazing, we asked them to come and paint our whole house interior and fix a number of issues from previous paint jobs. They are professional, clean up after themselves and pay attention to every detail. Their work is outstanding and I can't recommend them enough, Brian and Malachi are incredible.
    • Fabion is an experienced plumber. I was connected with Fabion through an App when I had an emergency issue with my water tank in the loft. He fixed it.  He also came back to replace my taps in the kitchen. Since then Fabion has been able to help me with the following:  1. Putting up blinds - immaculate 2. Dismantling and reassembling beds x2 (30 mins flat)  3. Taking down big old doors Extremely professional. Clean - never leaves a mess. SO fast. Attends when he say he's going to attend. Friendly and kind.  I cannot recommend him more highly.
