Goodrich is a fantastic Community Primary School. I have two children who are very happy and excelling there. Check out the Friends of Goodrich website to see the sort of things the school community organises - come along on Sunday 10th May to Peckham Rye Park (10am) to support our Fun Run and get a taster of the Goodrich spirit.

I have two children at the school both doing very well, and my youngest will start nursery there in September.

The teachers are very motivated, and there's a really good community feel to the school (helped by the small catchment area). The selection of after school activities is great. The school fairs, fun run etc are all fantastic events, and the children have a strong sense of school spirit.

Congratulations! My children have been extremely happy at Goodrich. The size, which might cause concerns (it certainly did me!)is a positive advantage. It allows the school to offer a very large range of after-school clubs as well as enabling them to employ a specialist Head of Music and specialist PE co-ordinator, and has a visiting art teacher. Also reception have a separate playground, so the youngest children never feel overwhelmed and are given a gentle introduction to school life.

Academically, you should have no worries at all, the school is going from strength to strength; but more importantly it's a lovely community, with a very engaged parent body. I hope your children are as happy there as mine have been.

Another thumbs up for goodrich, my daughter has thrived there, loves going to school and is very happy, my son will also be starting in September in reception. If you don't know any other children who will be starting in reception and wanted to do a few meet ups so the children have some familiar faces when they start let me know, leanne

Another happy parent here, for all of the reasons others have mentioned above. The school has a lovely atmosphere, a feeling of striving to get the best out of the children individually and offering a strong ethos of community. I only have experience of reception so far, about which I'd say the settling in was really smooth, my daughter's learning (reading, writing & maths) has progressed well and she is thoroughly enjoying herself. Do PM me if you have any particular questions, given we are in our first year there.

    • Hello lovely people, In need of some help please… My landlord has rented a property to me without an EPC.. my understanding is that is illegal. Have asked several times, in last three months and still not forthcoming. Have asked again plus now leaving at the end of the month & ignoring me totally - even to take meter readings & hand keys back!!! I really don’t want to go to court either but not sure as it is a private let whether I can go for mediation. Deposit was lodged via under govt scheme - 60 days later but at least lodged. No inventory on signing either so, not going to pay for anything either.. Could I bring in local councillor? For advice? Thanks and have a good weekend.
    • Has anyone else found it absolutely impossible to get an appointment at DMC on Crystal Palace Road since they implemented the new “link” system at 8am on a morning ? I was told by the receptionist that all appointments are taken within 15 minutes and it is not possible to book in advance anymore but … wait for it… they are still accepting new patients and there is a HUGE banner outside the surgery advertising this. How can this be allowed when they can’t service their existing patients ? I have left a complaint form but would any other DMC patients like to join forces and see if we can force them to make improvements ?
