They like the warmth of roads and pavements, they are quite common on car parks and school playgrounds.

Just up from the co-op, going towards Goose Green, a wagtail bird was flitting about on the pavement. It wasn’t worried about people walking along and then another one joined it and both flew over to a cake shop pecking at crumbs. Never seen one before and was nice to observe.

Spotted 6/7 different piles all around East Dulwich on my lunchtime walk. Fully behind bringing back medieval punishment for this sort of thing. Nothing that would actually harm anyone but every Saturday morning put the guilty culprit in the stocks on Goose Green and launch rotten veg or their dogs sh*t at them. £1 a go for the baying public. A punishment that would make people think twice instead of a fine which clearly isn't much of a deterrent.

Crystal Palace Road and Crawthew Grove too. And Goose Green is full of it.
