Recommended Posts

Hi to all,

Its back again, FREE fitness on the Rye for Tuesday evenings at 7-30pm. And, its only 45-mins so you're back indoors by 8-30pm.

Meeting point on the Rye, by the zebra crossing at the end of Barry Road. Just bring a 1Ltr bottle of water and optionally a small towel.

If you are not part of the Saturday group, please go to www.AHM-go.com, copy the health form and paste into [email protected] The group is made up of varied abilities and ages, while working in small sections of 300m's so the faster ones are able to circle back to the last one enabling the group to remain together.

The area will be more centralised albeit nice and intense at the same time, focusing on the main path to the caf?.

1. Warm-up: Zebra to the oval gardens, two laps around and stretch outside on the path or grass if dry.

2. Stretch: The usual 3 leg stretches.

3. Fit-1: Two more laps of the oval garden and then find your bench - 20 REPs of dips, squats & press-ups.

4. Fit-2: One more oval lap, back to your bench - 15 REPS of dips, squates & press-ups.

5. Fit-3: Last lap of the oval, to your bench and then down to 10 REPS.

6. Walk / jog up to the caf?

7. Up on the tables for reverse curls, just 10 to start with. Repeat 3 times. Option - hands under your gluts/butt.

8. Deep squates, touch the ground and up or leap up. Repeat 3 times

9. Walk / jog back to the path outside the oval garden.

10. Stretch and warm down - you need to be part of the Saturday group to know the 30-second technique.

You are now finished, FREE to go! 500 cals and toning completed :-)

H&S: Everything is optional, if you have a cold, temperature and sore spots, avoid precipitation of the challenge.

    • There is a spate of kid-on-kid robberies this time of year every year. It's as regular as the clocks changing or the leaves falling. Usually it's after school as kids are walking home. Often it's same little group of robbers that keep going until they (almost inevitably) get arrested. Very unpleasant for the victim. It should always be reported to police. I'm always happy to criticise the Met - but my impression is that the Community Safety Teams (beat cops) have always been very responsive to this kind of issue. It is worth speaking to them as well as just 999/101.
    • This sounds hellish.  Have you thought of contacting BBC local news, both TV and radio as well as the ITV local news?   There is a known shortage of midwives so it’s sad that you are having to stop work.  Woman’s Hour on Radio 4 would be another programme.
    • Yet another recommendation for John and Gabi at Top Marx kitchens. Our very old built in fridge freezer broke and we could not find a suitable replacement that would fit the space.  John was able to come round very quickly and advise on the best course of action.  He is extremely knowledgeable, professional, timely and responsive....and a very nice guy.  Gabi is excellent at keeping the momentum going with booking appointment times etc.  I have no hesitation in recommending Top Marx Kitchens.
    • No they’re playing with each other if they’re the two completely under control Stafford I see there regularly with their guy.
