New restaurant in Herne Hill - Fish & Wine

Just been to an amazing new restaurant for dinner called Fish and Wine in Herne Hill. Don't be put off by the name as only about half the menu is fish so still worth a visit if you're not a fish lover. Wine was delicious and because we had booked for my birthday we were offered 2 glasses of champagne on the house!

We wanted a dessert wine and were dubious it was a sparkling one but it proved to be the most delicious dessert wine I've ever had.

It's just along from the framers where HH market is held and has only been open a couple of months so I highly recommend a visit and hope that it stays.

    • The Oxfam shop refusal may be because they have very limited storage space at the back of their very small shop?
    • I agree. The staff are always lovely!
    • Hi, does anyone know anything about the generator that seems to run from 7am every day in the car park of Dominic Court off The Gardens? I live in a property that backs on to that car park and it’s incredibly noisy and fumey. It’s been there for a long time now and it looks like it’s powering a site office for construction workers. Does anyone have any information about how long it will be there for, and who is operating it? I worry about the quality of the air as it’s like having a truck running constantly. And it’s very annoying to have it rumbling all day.
    • Most charity shops will take rags for textile recycling. I’ve also donated to Christopher’s, Shelter on LL and Scope in Camberwell. The only one I’ve known to refuse is the Oxfam in Herne Hill.
