Handyman required to lay some turf

Hi,

I'm looking for a handyman/gardener to lay around 20 rolls of turf in our garden on Monday 6th. Our generous neighbours have donated the leftover turf from their own garden but it needs to be laid quickly before it dies!

It should only be a few hours work, but would like to find someone to do it on Monday if at all possible. We are on Upland Road SE22. Please contact me via EDF if interested and available.

Thanks

Tom

    • The Oxfam shop refusal may be because they have very limited storage space at the back of their very small shop?
    • I agree. The staff are always lovely!
    • Hi, does anyone know anything about the generator that seems to run from 7am every day in the car park of Dominic Court off The Gardens? I live in a property that backs on to that car park and it’s incredibly noisy and fumey. It’s been there for a long time now and it looks like it’s powering a site office for construction workers. Does anyone have any information about how long it will be there for, and who is operating it? I worry about the quality of the air as it’s like having a truck running constantly. And it’s very annoying to have it rumbling all day.
    • Most charity shops will take rags for textile recycling. I’ve also donated to Christopher’s, Shelter on LL and Scope in Camberwell. The only one I’ve known to refuse is the Oxfam in Herne Hill.
