Call me "good", Xena: Worried prince, I can take it on the chin...

She (the female troll hunter above) is my alter ego (she's called charliecharlie)

Nothing really, I'd just like to be Garth. He was a huge muscled dude who spent a lot of his time with no shirt on, and he got lots of girls. And he had great hair. There was a professor type who was always around and who I reckon was quite controlling of Garth.

Truth be told I reckon Garth wasn't perhaps the smartest of fellows but chicks dug him and he seemed to do quite well for himself.

Thinking about it, apart from the hair, Vin Diesel might have read and acted upon the strip. Would he have had access to the Daily Mirror, do you suppose?

Utterly spot on Charlies, though not how I recall him from the sixties Daily Mirror that used to be just below The Larks strip on the same page as The Old Codgers, but that will do for me.

Brendan, it is to laugh. This is Basil Fotherington-Thomas the university years. Couldn't be further from me if he was as far as a very far planet. One that's not even been discovered yet.

Tcah. And tcah again.

If they can fight Neo-Nazis then they can fight trolls, so with the help of a little necromancy, perhaps these fine fellows could be called upon next time...

if we all gang up on them (we already have Cat Woman, Ms Domiatrix, Garth, Troll Hunter male and female, the whole of Wayne's world, Modesty Blase, Spot the Cat and Cato from Pink Panther all we need is all the other ED Forumites characters) YES WE CAN!

    • Back garden mowed on Monday, some of it for the first time this year.  Not a lot of interest in this grassland, but hoping for the promised rain this week as it needs it.  We use no tap water in the garden apart from conditioner tap water for the pond when rainwater storage runs out, very early this year. Purple clover, buttercups, rattle and ox eye daisies looking great in the front.  Seeds sown did not germinate due to lack of spring rain.  The meadow will be cut by hand when flowers die back, white clover will be out shortly and cutting the rest back may encourage the purple clover to flower again.  Loads of bees  Fun time is when the grasshoppers appear.
    • Just found a link for LB Southwark wildlife and ecology. Suggest all those listing in disgust to read some of this.  https://www.southwark.gov.uk/culture-and-sport/parks-and-open-spaces/ecology-and-wildlife
    • Don’t they do it every year?
    • My word, we are in agreement on something!  It's good that there are wildlife areas. I cultivate one too.  But this thread is a bit knee jerk. Time would be better spent lobbying Southwark and other big landowners to create more wildlife havens.
