I wanted to give a big recommendation for David and his colleague Patrick at Norwood Roofing Specialists. We've had a series of roofers not turning up, doing poor work, or clearly not knowing how to fix the problem we had with our guttering and some water ingress into a back bedroom.

David was prompt and reliable. He saw exactly what the problem was and how to solve it, gave me a price, made an appointment, and came as agreed. I'm really pleased with what they've done.

I'm aware this is my first forum post, so it could look suspicious. To be totally transparent: David asked me to leave a review here if I was happy to. I'm always glad to pass on recommendations, particularly as I found his name here in the first place.

  Hi, does anyone know anything about the generator that seems to run from 7am every day in the car park of Dominic Court off The Gardens? I live in a property that backs on to that car park and it’s incredibly noisy and fumey. It’s been there for a long time now and it looks like it’s powering a site office for construction workers. Does anyone have any information about how long it will be there for, and who is operating it? I worry about the quality of the air as it’s like having a truck running constantly. And it’s very annoying to have it rumbling all day.

  Most charity shops will take rags for textile recycling. I’ve also donated to Christopher’s, Shelter on LL and Scope in Camberwell. The only one I’ve known to refuse is the Oxfam in Herne Hill.
