Laptop screen repair needed/advice please

Recommended Posts

Hello!

My daughter helped herself to chucking my laptop onto the floor (got to love a toddler!)

Could anyone give me an idea on what they would charge to put a new screen on it? It is a HP folio 13-2000.

I have used a HD wire to connect it to the TV so I know it works other than a coloured screen and it's been a great laptop!

Many thanks!

Jess

Hi Jess

I recommend the shop on the corner of Melbourne Road and Lordship Lane, blue shutters but I don't know the name (opposite the library). Think it's a paper/sweetshop I recently took an HP Pavillion (not sure of number) there. A friend recommended.

It was a reasonable quote - I honestly can't remember how much though. Didn't go ahead with repair as we were burgled and the broken laptop was taken.

Worth popping in I'd say.

    • The Oxfam shop refusal may be because they have very limited storage space at the back of their very small shop?
    • I agree. The staff are always lovely!
    • Hi, does anyone know anything about the generator that seems to run from 7am every day in the car park of Dominic Court off The Gardens? I live in a property that backs on to that car park and it’s incredibly noisy and fumey. It’s been there for a long time now and it looks like it’s powering a site office for construction workers. Does anyone have any information about how long it will be there for, and who is operating it? I worry about the quality of the air as it’s like having a truck running constantly. And it’s very annoying to have it rumbling all day.
    • Most charity shops will take rags for textile recycling. I’ve also donated to Christopher’s, Shelter on LL and Scope in Camberwell. The only one I’ve known to refuse is the Oxfam in Herne Hill.
