Recommended Posts

i'm hoping to come along too. i've already been upstairs to check out the feel of the Lodge - nice place :)but not yet sampled their fare. looking forward to it and to meeting some other forumites. ahem I'm not bringing anyone else & i'm hoping for a welcoming & friendly bunch!

see you soon

I'll save you the bother. There'll be slightly too many shots of the pretty blonde one. Several close ups of the spreading pit stains on the fat bloke's T-shirt. A self-taken shot of a trio of red-faced women squinting into a lens held 18 inches from their faces. A shot of the bloke whose camera it is looking like he wants it back. One of someone halfway up a lamp post outside at closing time.

    • Who then would decide on the priority for notices? There are many small local businesses, and a limited amount of space. Surely it would be better to put pressure on  the council to use the noticeboard for its original intended purpose?
    • James Barber is an amazing human being. Caring and got things done.
    • Dulwich Cake Co on Instagram or Friddles are great local small businesses. Or Sweet Carolina also good, I think based a little further but deliver locally.
    • We once did Eurostar to Paris (1 night stop), Paris to St Jean de Luz (near Spanish border & Biarritz - lovely town with great beach - 7 night stop), St Jean de Luz to Bordeaux (4 night stop) then Bordeaux to Lille (1 night stop) then home. With a 7 year old. Have done most holidays all over Europe by train for years with growing child - we all love it! Pre-child took sleeper from Lille to Nice then local train on to Antibes. Not sure if that sleeper still runs. Man in Seat 61 has impeccable advice! My top tip, if you have the time is try to stop over for every train change -  makes it so much more relaxing not worrying about connections.
