Bonfire2010
The front wheels on my BabyJogger City Mini keep locking and it's driving me nuts. Can anyone recommend a firm which does repairs? I have read mixed reviews of Buggy Pitstop. Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/55107-buggy-pitstop-or-other-repairs-services/ Share on other sites
adsyb99
We've been looking for something similar, really surprised there's nothing in the area considering how many buggies you see around! Lula
We've had good and bad experiences with them. Our Bugaboo's collapsing mechanism failed on one side 2 years ago and Buggy PitStop fixed the problem, then a year later the other side went and we sent it off to them again. Paid quite a lot of money (around ?130, think this was including couriers) for them to fix it again. They said it was fixed but when it was returned to us the catch on one side kept releasing making the buggy really unstable to push. We returned it to them but they insisted that it was due to incorrect use ? I resented this remark as having used Bugaboos for almost 5 years I did know how to open and close my buggy! We returned it to them a second time; this time we actually dropped it off at their Wembley workshop but again they insisted it was fine. We collected in person to try to show them it was still broken but annoyingly the fault didn't present itself while we were there ? even when I demonstrated opening and closing it. I foolishly thought maybe it was fixed but as soon as we got it home, it wasn't working again. We had to admit defeat ? luckily we were coming to the end of our buggy use and now have a MacLaren Quest which is perfect for light use.So I would say if it's an easy fix like wheels, they are probably okay on that but if you have a more complicated issue like ours was, it's not worth meddling with it. Saffron
Also had mixed results, I found their customer service to be really rubbish. It took them ages to confirm that they had the part I needed. Then they misprocessed my payment. It was all sorted in the end, but I was annoyed with the time and number of emails it took!I think they are a fairly small company and suffer from getting overwhelmed from time to time. Jessicas429
I rate Tommy's wear and cheer on rye lane. Very personal service, helpful and reaosnably priced. Probably worth ringing ahead as think they may focus on specific brands to repair. 020 7635 9252Jess X Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/55107-buggy-pitstop-or-other-repairs-services/#findComment-829110 Share on other sites
