Ridiculous middle class rubbish! Iceland do 16 Party Fish and Chip Cones for ?1.50 http://groceries.iceland.co.uk/iceland-16-party-fish-and-chip-cones-400g/p/56821 , but a Fish and Chip Cone is probably beneath the East Dulwich Chiperatti.

Is that Coley with self esteem issues?

Typical judgemental attitude from the Chiperati - there's nothing 'inferior' about fish from Icelands - just because it's not served in an artichoke foam doesn't mean it's any less nutritious. Honestly, I despair at what East Dulwich has become.

I regret moving here.

At least in shoreditch you could get a decent meal and a blowjob all under a tenner. I mean it was full of white hipster thick-rimmed bearded-cyclist Gordon Freeman lookalike fluff who spent half their income on rent, but at least the area kept all the basic amenities cheap.

Here... it's the same crowd I guess but the area offers nothing but twatty charity shops, a single overpacked pub, a multitude of mostly empty indoor dining restaurants (and "takeaways!"), and a Saturday market that doesn't understand what a market actually is.

God bless the corner shops, the shitty chicken shop, and bless that hardware store guy who stocks everything and its mother at almost amazon prices. Love that guy, wish he'd return my calls .

Indeed. So strong some threads are becoming unreadable. Shame.

After a while you get oblivious to trolls.

They are there but you don't see them because they are un-important.

Other people that aren't trolls post on the same thread, you see them and respond.

But ignoring trolls is easy. They mean nothing so are wasting their time.

    • No. I’ve read the Guardian and the Observer for forty-odd years but I haven’t bought a printed Observer this century; I only read them online. I haven’t bought a Saturday Guardian for at least twenty years and have bought a printed weekday Guardian twice: once when it went to a berliner format and once when it became a tabloid, just to see what they were like. I might buy an Observer one Sunday this summer to see what it’s like before it inevitably disappears for good. I subscribe to the Guardian but there is zero chance of me taking out a separate subscription for the Observer. It and the Graun have been declining in standard for a long time and are ever more padded out with lifestyle crap rather good reportage and analysis. My Guardian subscription has gone up 20% this month but its worth to me is lower than it has ever been.
    • I do like the Nunhead Gardener.  Shannon's was cheaper but that is academic.  Garden Centres have not benefited from Brexit, one reason that Shannons closed. The wildlife centre is good for native hedging, fruit trees and bushes and the like, and worth a stroll down to in any case.
    • nunhead gardener - because they are doing plants which last and give advice - you can get stuff from all over, but support local, give local people work and get some advice and the plants have lasted
