Reg?s clever and imaginative lyrics have earned him the title of ?Master Storyteller? (PennyBlack Music) and led Mike Harding to introduce him onto the stage of The Royal Albert Hall as ?one of the finest singer-songwriters this country has produced?. Whether it?s a village hall or the Albert Hall, Reg brings to the stage a collection of extremely beautiful songs, performed with humour and depth, and sung with the voice of an angel. Reg has that rare gift of being able to touch people, through his songs and performance, on a really human level. His words and music paint pictures that remain with the listener long after the song has been sung.

Receiving 5 star reviews across the board for his previous album Leaves & Feathers has been hailed by many to be Reg?s most accomplished. Given the consistency of quality of all his albums up to now, this one is a hard act to follow, but his new album England Green & England Grey rises to the challenge.

This new work deals with topics such as dementia, with a deep and moving commentary on the subject Counting My Footsteps To You; it commemorates the centenary of WW1, with an unromanticised account of the story of Flora Sandes (the only woman to fight in that war); it tells the tale of the bandleader and his violin both lost in the Titanic disaster, The Band Played Sweet Marie; and it delivers an anthem for our times: England Green and England Grey.

The maturity of Reg?s writing, and the courage with which he deals with some difficult topics, is revealed here. Reg is one of this country?s greatest songwriters at the very top of his game.

    • As a one off thing, I'd 100% recommend going to Alexander Does Supper, if you like food! It's up at Dulwich Art School, and you do some life drawing, have an amazing three course meal, and then watch some burlesque! I met some great people from the local area, and it was something different that I would never have done otherwise. https://www.instagram.com/alexanderdoessupper https://www.alexanderdoessupper.com
    • No, signs of sense and scrutiny of "leaders" not knowing the impact of what they have done, so much so that every citizen in the UK will suffer financially as a result of an incompetent, incoherent, unhinged Govt that's impact is effecting every citizen in the UK. Where things were being turned around by the last lot, this lot has already compromised all that work in its first 120 days in power. You may not like it but that's the truth.  We are never going to agree and actually Reeves, Rayner and Starmer need to go, like yesterday.
    • Worse than gb news   Signs of unhinged minds
    • This is why you are not the chancellor! Rachel Reeves won't be going anywhere until either she fixes things or Starmer needs someone to blame!
