Ok numbers, I now know who not to go to when I need to get my hands on a couple of melons....oooerrrr!

Second rate Carry On double entendres aside, I get broccoli, it's a word we might right down often i.e. shopping lists, but I suspect some of the other words people are citing are never written down, they just look like hard words to spell.

Jah and Chrysanthemums made me chuckle, they just don't go...unless he's started smoking them ;-)

It was a long time before a realised there was a difference.

There used to be a trader called a "stationer" (as opposed to one with a moving stall). And he sold "stationery". This helps me to remember.

I really have to think hard over licence / license. C for noun in English. S for adjective. S for all uses in American.

But in practice (or is it practise) S is often used for software licences even by English companies.

    • Hi does anyone have a Hotwheels track (ideally which packs away neatly like the fuel can or transporter one) they've been itching to get rid of please? Needed urgently for an emergency birthday present!    Thanks!
    • Glad to hear that the cops are taking crash for cash seriously.  The situation I am aware of the driver called the police, reported it separately as dangerous motorcycling, avoided all calls from 'ambulance chasers' and subsequently got a letter from the police saying it was an unregistered rider/uninsured rider.  It was reluctantly reported to their insurers who actually did not put up the premium which was a nice surprise. So as stressful as it may be just hold firm, deny everything, take down details and report to the police.
    • Hi I am looking to join some local businesses networking events and wondering if anyone can recommend any. I know there used to be one (Cooking with Scissors) but that’s not running any more. Thanks.
