That's good news!

Let's hope it's all less shambolic than last time :)

At least we're not being bombarded with a load of promises about celebrity chefs, VIP openings, vegetables being grown in high tech equipment imported from the States on the roof etc, so no high expectations to be unfulfilled :)

Looking forward to trying it. Another drinking option near my house is always welcome :)

Work?? in progress this lunchtime...

Front bar ceiling part painted redish purple colour.

Outside window frames 'white washed' sparsely up to height of arms length ( assume no ladder available)

Couple of bods scratching around outside. Bloke on mobile inside..

That's it.

Don't look like the sort of work that a chain would be taking on..

Don't expect an major change to the place.. Don't think anyone is willing to take the risk

of spending any money on the place.

People can't be in the Pub and the Cinema at the same time.

Also with people taking their kids out to the Cinema the pub may not be the best option..

Plus I was under the impression the Cinema was going to have its own Caf? / Bar.

The two will not have that great effect on each other. With all the other options available nearby.

Running two successful pubs already bodes very well, I feel :)

Looking forward to trying it!

ETA: The menu at The Easton looks a bit boring though :(

    • They can get an EPC at anytime, it’s not really strong enough to claim against, but they would need one to evict you. You’re leaving anyway so ….
    • Thank you both. Inexperience Landlord trying to save  a few pennies - hence no agent involved. The issue is the fact that it is my understanding that without an EPC that is current then they should not have rented the property - far  more to the point and taken rent from me. They commissioned an EPC 4 weeks & I am still waiting for or a copy!!! No gas in property. Well I guess it will be a case of instructing solicitors which I have tried to avoid doing but as they are not responding at all, I have no choice. If I am correct about EPC then it will cost them alot more than refunding me my rent.
    • Went there a couple of weeks ago and had their set lunch menu - very good value and generous portions. Sea bream was delicious .
    • Some years ago, one of our dogs ate something dropped by rubbish bins outside a local café and haemorrhaged. Rushed to emergency vet in Streatham, who suggested that someone, worried about rats getting into rubbish bins may have put down poison. Our dog died the next day. Consequently, any dog we had afterwards wore a muzzle to stop them picking up food.
