Ron70
Browns is a chain:http://www.browns-restaurants.co.uk I spoke to the builders today and they said it's going to be a pub / restaurant, not massively insightful.Ron70 Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/54673-the-patchthe-magthe-lordship/page/3/#findComment-828798 Share on other sites
jimbo1964
I can't really see it be that Browns. They're usually big flash places. Hopefully something a bit more interesting. Jeremy
Browns go for city centre locations, whoever started that rumour is pulling your leg. City/Mayfair/Covent Garden/Canary Wharf/East Dulwich doesn't really sound like a likely portfolio. LYTTLEMINXSALON
We are directly next door and we have been told by the owner the pub (not sure if its still going to be called the Patch) will be officially opening in 3 weeks for a soft opening...We are very excited! Another drinking option near my house is always welcome :) Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/54673-the-patchthe-magthe-lordship/page/3/#findComment-829033 Share on other sites
DulwichFox
Work?? in progress this lunchtime... Front bar ceiling part painted redish purple colour. Outside window frames 'white washed' sparsely up to height of arms length ( assume no ladder available) Couple of bods scratching around outside. Bloke on mobile inside.. That's it. Don't look like the sort of work that a chain would be taking on.. Don't expect an major change to the place.. Don't think anyone is willing to take the risk of spending any money on the place. I guess he meant he wasn't doing a huge amount decoration wise ie changing the name on the sign? MissWiggy
This looks very interesting. I'm really pleased that someone is trying to use the space and not just letting it sit empty.
