uncleglen
I didn't realise that I was paying so much for beer in other pubs until I went to Wetherspoon's....... Otta
Yep, our very own Jah Lush was over the moon yesterday at paying ?2.25 a pint of Late Knights "morning glory" ale in Penge Wetherspoons. Which is a pretty nice pub as Wetherspoons go. Bovine Juice
It's a brilliant pub. About 15 ales on most nights, with prices around ?2.25-2.55 a pint, I love it, especially if you can get a booth. Jah Lush
Yep, The Moon And Stars is excellent. I can't tell how overjoyed I was to be supping a fabulous local ale at ?2.25 a pint. I thought I'd been transported back to the 80s. So overjoyed I had several more. Marvellous. More of this kind of thing please. minder
Met up with my friend in the Plough last Thursday evening and was surprised to be charged ?10.20 for two medium rose wine spritzers (quarter wine, three quarters soda water). Goodness knows what two glasses of wine would have cost but I was driving so stuck to a coffee afterwards. Sierra Nevada is ?1.75 in the supermarkets and over ?3 in HBB (I guess that's another one customers ask for).Didn't intend this to turn into a dig at your shop because I do like it, and have used it. Was just a bit shocked at the difference in price compared to supermarkets. Will continue to pop in now and again for one or two bottles, but get my regular tipples elsewhere. A reasonable compromise, I think. Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/54342-most-expensive-pint-ever/page/5/#findComment-828306 Share on other sites

jenf
Cheers Jeremy - a perfect compromise. :)@Rolo - thanks so much. We battled with some issues on one of the turntables so I'm glad that didn't affect your enjoyment. Not sure when/if we're back again - depends if Jonny will let us!
