Really? I guess I will use that about as much as I did the launderette.

In my view would be far better used to expand the Co-op which has the narrowest aisles and could definitely use the extra space.

It would be great if it were used as (almost) anything. FHR is looking better than ever, despite that eyesore near the barber's - the yellow and blue building.

The William Hill is also empty, but both it and the former laundry look like something is happening with them. An extended Coop would be good.

I remember this bakery too - It was owned by a neighbour of mine who used to live a few roads away from the bakery itself - it was open all hours but I remember being disappointed that their cream cakes were never real cream.

Does anyone know what is happening to the empty site just round the corner from the launderette in Dunstans Road?

The site was cleared some time ago but a live electricity supply was left attached to the wall which was clearly extremely dangerous in the rain. It has now finally been cut off, but the site remains empty.

This is definitely true, current lease has run out and she's in process of sorting out the interior of the blue/yellow place (which used to be a restaurant way back when?)

    • This photo does not show the lorry wearing the livery those which collect in our bit of Southwark wear, which suggests it was not a lorry in use on a Southwark contract, which might explain why the council appeared to have no knowledge of it. It could have been running empty which may mean it was top heavy and more vulnerable at any speed if cornering, even legal speeds if the corner was tight. No rubbish seems to have come out of it in the incident.
