Was horrified to hear that one of the partners or GM had left. Every single time I went there, whether with my husband or girls, Peter made us feel welcome, and special. One of my girlfriends had boycotted due to other owners being absolutely inappropriate and offering her 'substances' and Peter had fought hard to bring the whole St. Anthony's crowd to Yama, and was becoming a little ED legend. We are gutted! One thing for sure, if he is gone, that place won't be around long!!!!!!!!
I did sign up and am a first time poster. Anything wrong with that? Is that against the law. I thought the whole point of the forum was to voice opinion and keep our community tight knit! And yes, am still horrified. As a mother of primary school aged children (two of them) and yes, after avoiding the place because of the school gossip I was very impressed with how hard Peter worked to win back people like myself after what we'd seen and heard. Like I said, word in ED travels fast and if the current owners decide to act up again, they won't be on lordship lane long.

I understand. Your right. I felt the need to sign up as very upset as was my best friend who was approached by owner guy obviously completely drugged up and we had completely boycotted place. Then met Peter, saw his work with Save the Children, parent and teachers associations, local churches, etc, etc.

I wish them all the best but place has changed is the gossip. We are going twice this week, Thursday and Saturday, so will report back with facts and objectivity!

On the other hand, what is the best Indian on Lordship Lane?

Well, that all makes perfect sense...

Bottom line. Willing to give new business a chance after out of place adventure bar. Started well even though they couldn't even get the spelling on a Japanese menu right and sometimes courses took hours to come out amongst other things and being told on numerous occasions that they were fully booked when they weren't! Owner with the big hair, spoilt brat mummy's boy crossed line on many occasions. So we gave it a miss. Then new guy came in. Really got hold of community and made it our favourite place. Now he's gone. So are we! I bet they aren't here more than a year! We won't have that here in ED! And my friends hubby is going down to see them!!!!!!! Hope that makes sense!!!!!!!

Great to hear that we will get some "facts and objectivity" as opposed to the "school gossip" you seem otherwise very keen to impart to the world at large, including what sound like pretty serious allegations which appear designed to adversely affect on this particular business. As for "We won't have that here in ED!", I wasn't aware that anyone had been appointed as the spokesperson for the entire community.

I agree with others that these come across as really odd for someone's first posts, as if there is a personal axe being ground here.

Jane, I didn't say I was supporting the place. I thought I'd made myself clear. My connection to the restaurant has actually left and is no longer a part of the business. What I was implying was : I don't think your social life has anything to do with the school your children attend.I don't think there is any need to get personal by telling me to "look at myself" or by bringing the school and it's name (which has nothing to do with your actual incident) into it.
