KikiMac
A friend of mine is having to come from Brighton to Kings daily to see his brother who is terminally ill at Kings. Very sad situation and he is struggling to find somewhere to park for free if he drives so he can bring his elderly parents with him. Does anyone have any good tips they'd be prepared to share of places to park, either nearby or on a (short) bus route to the hospital? ernesto
prety much anywhere in ED is OK for parking if you can find a space- pretty much all buses that cruise down Lordship lane will take you onto kings in 10 minutes. Zebedee Tring
Your friend could drop elderly parents at the hospital. Drive back himself and use Sainsbury's car park on Dog Kennel Hill. Sadly, for three hours only. He can catch a 40, 176, 185 or 484 down to the hospital and back to Sainsburys. Not ideal though. Jeremy
Sainsburys car park should do the trick... 3 hrs presumably long enough for most hospital visits. There are a handful of roads within a 10 min walk where you can park for free, but would hesitate to suggest them, because residents struggle to find spaces as it is. Lowlander
Also consider train from Brighton to Clapham Junction (45 minutes), then Overground to Denmark Hill (15 minutes)Off-peak that may be quicker. Pugwash
Morrison's in Camberwell Green Car Park is a reasonable price ( compared with hospital care park) Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/53598-free-parking-anywhere-near-or-on-a-bus-route-to-kings-college-hospital/#findComment-816711 Share on other sites
