Siduhe
Septic from where? I'd take a 30-something Williamsburgite to Peckham and a 45-something Bostonian or Californian to ED but there's a big old range of experiences in a country that big. I once recommended a foodie colleague from Texas go outside central London to a really nice restaurant and she just couldn't deal with it. She had to turn round part way through travelling there (she was travelling on her own, meeting someone there). maxxi
If it's the hipster choice your septic may just regale you with tales of how much better they do that sort of thing (unless from Louisville KY obvs.); give him fish and chips and a pint at the GE and tell him it's a quintessentially English boozer and has been 'like this for years' - he'll buy that. ernesto
its a dyslexic spelling of refreshing. the majority of septics dont do bar crawls as a rule , but this one has done in the past - took him to WC98 in Paris for the Scotland game , thence onto Amsterdam, so he knows the score. MrBen
Gowlett is something of a border post. And a fine one at that.Jezza - Flying Pig was rammed on Saturday at 3pm and almost every table at the back taken with diners in mid Jan. Go figure.
