Women?s Pelvic Floor?Workshop

Are you confused about the function of the pelvic floor muscles and how to keep them healthy. 1 in 3 women are reported to experience problems with their pelvic floor with symptoms such as incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse or pelvic pain. Sadly this is often regarded as a taboo subject and rarely talked about so too many women suffer in silence

There are often simple strategies and exercises that can improve the problem, pelvic floor muscle training is usually advised as a first line treatment for bladder or bowel dysfunction and pelvic organ prolapse but many women report not feeling confident to perform these correctly.?

This workshop will discuss the anatomy and muscles of the pelvic floor, how they work, why things go wrong and most importantly what can be done to help, there will be an emphasis on self help and home exercise. You should leave confident to perform pelvic floor exercise correctly, notes and exercise sheets will be given.
