Well done - 10:35 - they've gone.

(This is probably a silly question, but what can they usefully see from up there? They were doing circuits of Nunhead and Peckham Rye, from a fairly great height, so they weren't following a vehicle. How can they tell a villain from the citizens of Nunhead - this is not joke question, pls refrain from Nunhead-unfriendly responses)

Aha! that's why the helicopter was hovering, an EDulite tunnelled out of ED and into Nunhead, popped up somewhere in Nunhead Cemetery... found it very peacful.

I have to say, I am always confused by these threads, as a previous poster stated, there is at least one police helicopter hovering over ED/Peckham/Nunhead/Camberwell every week (I can see all 4 areas from my attic window!)

Why do people seeem so surprised by it? This is London!

Have you never watched Sky Cops?!

Probably someone doin' a runner, heading for the duck pond...

you'll never catch me copper!

I also find that these helicopters head over to the dutch estate in dulwich at all unsociable hours for hours on end - can I find anyone to complain to as this wakes the family and I spend hours trying to get them back to sleep only to find its now time to get up!!!!
Oh sorry Michelleb, we'll just ask them to politly turn their engines off whilst hovering over east Dulwich shall we. I think basically what happened is that the home secretary was flicking off in her big subsidised couch when all of a sudden there was a knock at the door. 'Could you spare me some change for baby food please'. The home secretary handed over a tax payers bluey and sent her on her way. Upon realising that the begger was black and there for obviously not a constituant of Worcester she called special branch. "Jacqui Smith hand over money to the poor, pigs will fly", "really, well whats that helicopter doing there?".

    • No they were created by a Hong Kong artist and became a craze when a K-Pop girl band became associated with them. They do limited editions and they've become a collectors item (Like Jelicat for adults)- I'm a bit ashamed that at 65 years old I know so much about them but they are very much a fashionable item. And I'm always interested in Popular Culture. Whover lost it must be gutted because I understand that when you buy one (they're boxed) you never know which one or what colour you'll get...so if the owner loved that one it may be very difficult to replace.
    • Are they a hybrid of teletubby and some other species?
    • Thats a Labubu. I suspect it was lost by a trend-following adult who had it hanging from their handbag. They're a real fashion trend at the moment and people collect them. I hate them they give me the creeps!
    • Went there for a drink must have been about 7 or so years ago, lovely building but the bar and the whole place lacked atmosphere, funnily enough just last week we were coming back from a walk in the woods and wanted to go for a drink before heading home, neither of us faniced the Dog and Duck (aka crown and greyhound) so I suggested Belair House but my other half said It'd probably be packed out due to it being Mothering Sunday. Which brings me the fact that on one of the posts here it shows they are advertising for an event on Mothering Sunday for end of May-which is the date its celebrated in Europe and the US I believe...odd. I'm saddened to learn its gone to **** It would be lovely if it was a nice cafe/bar not too fancy but with character.
