Hi there I don't want to go into too much detail on a public post but I was wondering if any of you ladies had experience with colposcopies, cervical cancer and/or hysterectomies.

I need someone to talk to who can relate. I'm very young, childless and terrified.

None of my friends or family have been through this so it's very lonely, feel free to send me a private message.

Thank you

You poor girl. Both my grandmother and mother have been through this before the age of 40 and I've always had the threat hanging over me, I'm 7 years past their time now so hoping I've got away with it.

There was a threat a few years back but turned out to be polyps which were dealt with quickly and easily.

I really feel for you and would happily meet you if you need someone to share with.

Fingers crossed that it'll be nowt too much to worry about. xxxxxxx

Hi Dreamcatcher, you may want to post in the Family Discussion section. Even though the post isn't about children, the Family section is really good for gyne discussions. So sorry that you're feeling alone, and hope you find some lovely Forumites to help you through your expeience. xx

Hi Dreamcatcher,

If it's regarding abnormal smear test results/colposcopy, PM me because I've experienced both (more than once).

If it's anything more serious, sorry, can't really help as never experienced this but hopefully you will find lots of help on here.

Good luck x

    • Why on earth is there so much interest, and negativity, after a 100 days of a Labour government when we had 1000s of days of dreadful government before this with hardly a chat on this Website?  What is it that is suddenly so much greater interest? Here's part of a list of what they have done in a 100 days - it's from a Labour MP so obviously there is some bias, and mainly new Bills so yet to deliver/put into law.  This reminds me of the US election where the popular view was that Biden had achieved nothing, rather than leading the recovery after Covid, a fairer tax system, housing, supporting workers, dealing with community unrest following high profile racist incidents,  So if we think Starmer is ineffective and Labour incompetent then we are all going to believe it? I do feel sick after seeing Clarkson on Newsnight, playing to the gallery.  Surely Trump must have a high profile role for him on the environment and climate change
