Buying art locally...

Does anyone have any suggestions as to where I can find/buy local art from Peckham Dulwich New Cross surrounds ...either online or galleries?

Why not pop down to one of the local art colleges e.g. Goldsmiths and offer your patronage. Do you have anything particular in mind?...abstract, portraiture, installation (good way to use up those left over bricks ;-) )

Last year we wandered around a lot of the Artists Open Houses as part of the Dulwich Festival. The website is still active and for most they have address, websites, contact details etc. Could be a good place to start.

the small gallery and picture framers on East Dulwich grove, near Balfes Bikes has some really interesting local work for sale.

I bought a picture from an exhibition in The Ivy House a few weeks back :)

It's probably a bit like buying clothes - if you go out looking for something, you don't find anything you like, but you see things at other times when you aren't expecting to?
