I had the problem a few days ago and I go through a BT router.

I spent about 15 minutes compiling a reply to something earlier this week and it never appeared. Can't remember what the subject was or, indeed, what the reply was so it didn't matter in the great scheme of things.

This mightn't go either, of course!
