Feelings by Morris Albert if you're feeling broken hearted.

I Want You by Elvis Costello if you're feeling broken hearted and not a little psychotic.

I want you

Oh my baby baby I love you more than I can tell

I dont think I can live without you

And I know that I never will

Oh my baby baby I want you so it scares me to death

I cant say anymore than I love you

Everything else is a waste of breath

I want you

Youve had your fun you dont get well no more

I want you

Your fingernails go dragging down the wall

Be careful darling you might fall

I want you

I woke up and one of us was crying

I want you

You said young man I do believe youre dying

I want you

If you need a second opinion as you seem to do these days

You can look in my eyes and you can count the ways

I want you

Did you mean to tell me but seem to forget

I want you

Since when were you so generous and inarticulate

I want you

Its the stupid details that my heart is breaking for

Its the way your shoulders shake and what theyre shaking for

Its knowing that he knows you now after only guessing

I want you

Its the thought of him undressing you or you undressing

I want you

He tossed some tatty compliment your way

I want you

And you were fool enough to love it when he said

I want you

I want you

The truth cant hurt you its just like the dark

It scares you witless

But in time you see things clear and stark

I want you

Go on and hurt me then well let it drop

I want you

Im afraid I wont know where to stop

I want you

Im not ashamed to say I cried for you

I want you

I want to know the things you did that we do too

I want you

I want to hear he pleases you more than I do

I want you

I might as well be useless for all it means to you

I want you

Did you call his name out as he held you down

I want you

Oh no my darling not with that clown

I want you

Youve had your fun you dont get well no more

I want you

No-one who wants you could want you more

I want you

Every night when I go off to bed and when I wake up

I want you

I want you

Im going to say it once again til I instill it

I know Im going to feel this way until you kill it

I want you

I want you

I Want You by Elvis Costello is a great choice, to put you in that stalker/murderer frame of mind.

Also, Song For The Dumped by Ben Folds Five... "Give me my money back, give me my money back, you bitch".

And She Loves Me by The Descendents, the way it goes from the happy feeling you get when you meet someone you like, through to the pissed off angry feeling which inevitably follows.

I could tolerate him at first, but then when he started doing ballads... oh my gosh. When I first heard "dry your eyes" I thought it was some sort of piss-take. Dull, predictable pop masquerading as underground.

Stupid fake cockney brummy with a pitbull. Piss off please.

Unless you put on the Stranglers version TT.

Dionne sounds as if she is so fragile that if you just look at her she'll fall to pieces.

The Stranglers sing it as if they'll rip your lungs out if you so much as glance sideways at them.

Here's my dark contribution to the break-up tape

Where the Wild Roses Grow - Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds (and Kylie too I guess)

You're so Vain - Carly Simon

Did Ye Get Healed - Van Morrison

The Whores Hustle and The Hustlers Whore - PJ Harvey

I Need a Man - Grace Jones

Bone Machine - The Pixies

Pick Myself Up - Peter Tosh

Hey, That's No Way to Say Goodbye - Leonard Cohen

Good Times Bad Times - Led Zeppelin

Shitlist - L7

One Good Man - Janice Joplin

Freedom - George Michael

Never Going Back Again - Fleetwood Mac

Just Go Away - Blondie

Wouldn't this only be relevant if the bloke murdered the woman, Giggi?

Spot on Hooch. I had a blonde moment. I'm going to get a cup of coffee now so I can focus. It's a brilliant song though and I was listening to it on my ipod this morning so I guess it was just on my mind.

Yes, I'd go more with Nick Cave and PJ Harvey on Henry Lee - knife the b@stard and throw him in a well

Also Buzzcocks generally help me in that frame of mind - Ever Fallen in Love is an obvious one, maybe What Do I Get?

And Al Wilson's The Snake, for when you want to dance that man right out of your hair.
