Hi there

Wondered if any of you lovely parents or carers might be able to help - we are stuck with an excess of childcare vouchers we need to use before they expire and we are having difficulty finding clubs, either on the weekend or after school, that accept the vouchers. We don't need childcare as I gave up work when I had my daughters so its really more to use them for some fun learning activities. Would prefer them to be weekly rather than summer camps etc. Thanks in advance for your help...

Thanks Fuschia. Apparently we can extend the date but we are paying for lots of after school activities for my kids and just so frustrating that we could potentially be spending these vouchers ...I'll look into artastic. Any other suggestions v welcome. Thanks

I run nimble arts holiday clubs (held at heber school in east Dulwich), we are in the verge of being able to accept vouchers, just dotting i's and crossing T's on the paperwork, but we hope to be open for childcare voucher bookings for our February course (and definitely for April onwards). We'll update on here and on our website www.nimblearts.co.uk as soon as voucher booking opens.

    • I've used Mattress Man twice, can thoroughly recommend. It is worth investing in a good mattress (£400 plus), since you spend a lot of time in bed and they will last for years.  I favour a firm well-sprung mattress which I find gives good support.  Don't forget to turn your mattress regularly: side to side every couple of months, and top to bottom at least once a year.  This will ensure even wear.
    • Thanks Sue, its definitely the whole mattress needed!   Thanks for this!
    • Lynne, I do sympathise having gone to Kings A&E on 6th December. I sat on a chair for 7 hours followed by lying on a trolley for 11 hours before having emergency abdominal operation. I was in for 4 nights. Complaining would not have changed things as the staff were evidently working flat out and the place was mobbed. Ever since,  I thank my lucky stars that it happened when it did because within 2 weeks the whole of Kings was swamped by the impact of Covid, Flu' , RSV, Norovirus, etc etc I do hope you are recovering well
