macroban
I hope it snows. Heavily. If the "once in a generation" excuses are exhausted I'd like to read the EDF's "twice in a week" excuses. Moos
As someone who can easily work from home I've enjoyed watching the debate swing to and fro! Surely 'once in a generation' also applies to the responses of the councils and the transport authorities too, and therefore if it happens again we can expect a faster response based on experience, which in turn will enable us to carry on as usual? Back to the lovely Otto - shall we pick up a suggestion from his previous thread and all sweep our housefronts clear of the loose fresh snow before it turns to ice? Michael Palaeologus
The same arguement is true for nuclear defence measure. Whats the point? its only going to happen once Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/5191-60-chance-of-heavy-snow-friday-in-east-dulwich/page/2/#findComment-166099 Share on other sites
Louisa
Thank goodness the snow band was positioned further to the west hence us missing anything like what we had sunday into monday. However, still a continued threat for 1 to 3 cm in evening rush hour, Greater London remains on yellow alert for snow causing disruption into this evening has the band tracks south again. My gut feeling is that it will fall as rain this time.Louisa. Louisa
Sean - Let us wait and see if the first warning was right or wrong, if I hold my hands up and say you were right now and we end up with a rush hour blizzard I would hate for you to eat your hat (if you have one) ;-)Louisa. matthew123
I am delighted to announce it is not going to snow today in East Dulwich - it was all a ruse by a local supermarket who had excess stock of skiing equipment Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/5191-60-chance-of-heavy-snow-friday-in-east-dulwich/page/2/#findComment-166265 Share on other sites
