As someone who can easily work from home I've enjoyed watching the debate swing to and fro! Surely 'once in a generation' also applies to the responses of the councils and the transport authorities too, and therefore if it happens again we can expect a faster response based on experience, which in turn will enable us to carry on as usual?

Back to the lovely Otto - shall we pick up a suggestion from his previous thread and all sweep our housefronts clear of the loose fresh snow before it turns to ice?

Thank goodness the snow band was positioned further to the west hence us missing anything like what we had sunday into monday. However, still a continued threat for 1 to 3 cm in evening rush hour, Greater London remains on yellow alert for snow causing disruption into this evening has the band tracks south again. My gut feeling is that it will fall as rain this time.
