citizenED
Monbiot is usually pretty sharp on political issues. Try his website, monbiot.com*Bob*, which one is your number? Marmora Man
THis is surely another political pressure group. I have no problem with that - I'm a member of a couple of such groups myself. However, the manifesto:* lay the foundations for a diverse economy, less dependent on the demands of the financial sector* invest in green industries and energy production, as well as the skills needed for them to flourish* recognise that extreme inequalities between the very richest and the rest are socially unsustainable* commit to a fairer society, in which social enterprise and initiative are not stifled by lack of time and resources reads like a student Socialist Worker agenda - not an apolitical organisation of concerned citizens. As a matter of principle if George Monbiot supports something I will start from a position of opposition and look carefully before leaping. Jah Lush
Anything to shake up this country's peoples off of it's apathetic political arse is very positive. We've taken far too much crap for too long as fat cats line their pockets awarding themselves for failure.I know I'm sounding a bit like Rik from the Young Ones or Citizen Smith but I've had enough of watching and doing nothing as this country goes to the dogs so I'm all for it.
