Pierre
Couldn't see another thread obviously devoted to it, so for the record:The igloo on Goose Green was dismantled by its creators. They were three Slovakians, two guys and a girl (in a purple wig) who worked for most of the day on it. Although they were surprised to hear that this much snow is a rare event in London and that their creation had become a local talking (and photographing) point, they were worried that children might climb on it and it would collapse under them. After a good couple of hours standing around nervously accepting the praise due to them, they pulled and kicked it down.Just thought I'd mention it.: P Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/5187-the-igloo-on-goose-green/ Share on other sites
Sue
Is there a pic? I missed it, being a miserable sod and glued to my computer instead of out sledging and building things with snow :)) Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/5187-the-igloo-on-goose-green/#findComment-165505 Share on other sites
Peckhamgatecrasher
Apparently it was featured in The Express today - maybe they have an online version. And I think MikeP took some photos in snowman/woman/dog thread. minder
There was an igloo built up on the Denmark Hill Estate - brick by brick and large enough for people to go into. bigbadwolf
The teddy bears great. Over in forest hill we had a rather odd and some thought frightening snow man that had an Occult feeling to it. It was outside the Derby hill estate on Dartmouth rd. There was an Igloo in Crystal Palace park near the swings.
