recommendation for construction toy

I am after a construction toy for my daughter for Christmas ( sort of like stickle bricks ).Does anybody have any fun ones? Any thoughts much appreciated .

Try 'The Happy Puzzle Company'. Lots of that type of toy and very reasonably priced.

Galt marble runs are brilliant and get played with for years. There's the construction element of designing the run and then the fun of sending marbles down it.

GoldieBlocks - just google it. An engineering set designed for girls. not all pink and fluffy but includes things that apparently girls respond to, the main figure is a girl not a boy and there are some story prompts to follow.
