malumbu
Was fooled into taking two rescue cats from Celia Hammond. Both neutered. One is a bit anxious and sprays on furniture doing ????? of damage. We plug stuff in to calm them down, and other remedies. It doesn't change. We've had them four years.Solutions ? Drowing (thinking of the telly programme 'Intruders' last night)Jesting of courseReturn him to Celia HammondContinue with bits of hardboard against various pieces of furniture to protect them.Irony is that I have never been fond of cats. Preferred the hamsters which are much easier to deal with. But was worn down by the kids. And I can live with the scratching damage to the carpet, the occasional present of a dead, nearly dead, alive bird or mouse.Serious suggestions please.Ta Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/50814-cat-that-spray-against-furniture/ Share on other sites

malumbu
Celia Hammond is a bit of an oddball, but good point to contact the rescue centreSurely others most have some experience with peeing cats? sheilarose
I spray Feliway on to any area where the cat scratches or pees. Seems to stop it. (Not the diffuser, but the spray directly on to the specific spot.)
