FJDGoose
By way of an experiment, we are having a one-off Singaround at The Ivy House on Sunday, in addition to our regular monthly Singarounds at The Old Nun's Head. The time and format will be the same as our usual Singarounds, and we will be singing in the Refectory (that's the room NEXT to the ballroom where we hold our concerts and shanty nights). We do hope that as many singers (and listeners!) as possible can come, so that we can get a good idea of whether Singarounds would work in this sort of space, which is quite different to the room upstairs at The Old Nun's Head. Not that we're trying to make extra work for ourselves or anything .... Click here for more information about our Singarounds!http://thegooseisout.com/singarounds-at-the-old-nuns-head/ (but bear in mind references to The Old Nun's Head won't apply tonight .....) Starts 7.30pm prompt, voluntary donations at the interval (we suggest ?2 if you can afford it). Real ales, pub grub from 6 - 8pm only on a Sunday night. We normally have a "no eating in the Singaround room while singing is happening" policy, but as the room will be open to people not there specificially for the Singaround, we may need to amend this. We guess in any case that there may be other noise apart from clacking knives, forks and teeth Laughing and smells from other parts of the pub (food smells I mean, obviously Laughing )
