Hi all...hoping for some help here! I think there as a thread some time ago about the best way to get the the Natural History Museum from ED and also places to park when you get there. I can't find the thread, so I am hoping someone can help me out with some tips. Would rather drive if possible rather than dragging pram etc around on London Transport.

Thanks in advance!

Same street, worth having a look - but this is a thread about public transport, not driving. Personally I think it's easier to entertain kids on public transport than in a car.

We went last weekend there's a car park at imperial college that's approx 3 quid an hour but that was full when we got there at around 12. We parked our car near Gloucester Road, there are some spaces that's approx 3 quid an hour till 1.30pm then it's all free till Monday morning. It's a short walk but very good value. We prefer driving than taking a train then tube / bus too.

We went last weekend, drove up there and parked on the same road as the museum, about 2 minutes away for free.

If you go on Sunday you can park in a few marked parking bays on the road, but get there early. We got there at around 9.45 before the museum opened at 10.

    • Met Atilla at Forest Fest in Honor Oak last year.  Otway wasn't playing with him at the New Cross Gig.  A band called Newtown Neurotics also played but I don't remember them.  I also don't remember seeing Blur opening in a four band tour at the Academy around this time, or Pulp supporting St Etienne at the Shepherds Bush Empire a couple of years later. David Badiel and Rob Newman played the Venue around the same time; he is discussing this with Verne on Radio 2.  Googled for more info and oddly came up with this thread. I expect this will have zero interest for most of you. Unless you want to talk about famous bands you saw, but don't remember.
