Bonfire2010
Hi all...hoping for some help here! I think there as a thread some time ago about the best way to get the the Natural History Museum from ED and also places to park when you get there. I can't find the thread, so I am hoping someone can help me out with some tips. Would rather drive if possible rather than dragging pram etc around on London Transport. Thanks in advance! Help-Ma-Boab
If you AA route plan you can get a route, I'm not a massive driver. You can however park at Imperial College at weekends which is a very short walk to the NHM.ETA: http://www3.imperial.ac.uk/estatesfacilities/services/parking Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/50419-natural-history-museum-tomorrow-help/#findComment-791272 Share on other sites
Bellenden Belle
http://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/forum/read.php?29,1085722,1086196#msg-1086196Same street, worth having a look - but this is a thread about public transport, not driving. Personally I think it's easier to entertain kids on public transport than in a car. dreamaholic
We went last weekend there's a car park at imperial college that's approx 3 quid an hour but that was full when we got there at around 12. We parked our car near Gloucester Road, there are some spaces that's approx 3 quid an hour till 1.30pm then it's all free till Monday morning. It's a short walk but very good value. We prefer driving than taking a train then tube / bus too. Bonfire2010
Brilliant - many thanks for the parking info. Will try Imperial first with Gloucester Road as back-up. Absolutely not getting public transport as my 10 month old refuses to sleep in his buggy but will nap in the car seat. natalieljackson
We went last weekend, drove up there and parked on the same road as the museum, about 2 minutes away for free.If you go on Sunday you can park in a few marked parking bays on the road, but get there early. We got there at around 9.45 before the museum opened at 10.
