matthew123
You know what Red Devil, and I'm not the first one to mention it, you seem to resort to personal insults when ever you don't like the point being made - there seems to be a strong correlation between you having a weak argument and using foul and abusive language. I've made a mild criticism of United - whereas I've criticised Liverpool most of the last week - and you respond with offensive material. If you look back at my posts, and most other ppls for that matter, I have never verbally assualted any formurites but you seem to think you can get away with it without censure. I'd usually let this pass under the bridge but a response was needed on this occasion. Mick Mac
C'mon guys. Lets start the new season on a lighter note. *Secretly hopes he can maintain his own dignity tomorrow under barrage of "I told you so" abuse from Arsenal fans* Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/5028-on-the-ball-new-football-focus/page/153/#findComment-238532 Share on other sites
red devil
I'm sorry Matthew, the temptation to pin prick the balloon of self-righteous pomposity that eminates from some of your posts is just too great to ignore sometimes... matthew123
LOL red devil that's fine - but you'll find the balloon is actually the core of wisdom! :)) lolMick Mac took exception to my 4 or 5 goal win prediction for Arsenal tonight... but he knows deep down I'm probably right! Mick Mac
And when offered a spread bet to back up your prediction Matt, you scarpered."In eight home games against English sides Celtic have lost only one - 2-1 to Brian Clough's Nottingham Forest in 1983 - while they are unbeaten in their last five. That run includes wins against Manchester United and Blackburn and draws against United, and Liverpool twice. It's hard to call this one. Celtic have an excellent record at home in the Champions League but if Arsenal turn up and play to their best, they will more than likely walk away from the east end of Glasgow with victory. The likes of AC Milan when they were European champions, Lyon, Juventus and of course Manchester United have all been beaten at Celtic Park in recent seasons" Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/5028-on-the-ball-new-football-focus/page/153/#findComment-238588 Share on other sites

matthew123
I'll do a straight bet with you Mick that Arsenal will have scored within first 30 minutes (I actually think they'll have scored 3 times by that point but might be too painful for you to payout on those terms) Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/5028-on-the-ball-new-football-focus/page/153/#findComment-238660 Share on other sites

Keef
Ha ha, touche!Mick has gone about this all very sportingly, Atila, you'd best hope Arsenal win, as otherwise you need to take your hat off to Celtic, and eat a bit of humble pie mate.Oh and Matt, that is the most rubbish bet I've ever heard, I wouldn't take that in any match. Any team can always score against another team in the first half hour. matthew123
Following Sunday's defeat at Spurs, Rafa could be in trouble with the FA after his post match press conference when he "had theatrically taken a glasses case out of his inside pocket, taken out the glasses and looked through them before putting them away again." Apparently this gesture, no doubt following on from crossing his arms in front of Big Sam, has been interpreted as an insult to the Ref for not awarding Liverpool two late penalties. Jah Lush
It was a subtle ways of suggesting the ref needed glasses which was a bit cheeky. But the first penalty was ball to hand and other one against Voronin was highly debatable. I personally wouldn't have given it but then I'm bias being a Spurs fan. mockney piers
Arsenal to score in the first half hour and to win by several, good to see Moon deux trois really knows his footie. In a tie that matters, dulwich have managed to equalise against a superior Godalming side, anyones at the moment. matthew123
Celtic were unlucky with the goals, and were quite competitive. It certainly never looked like the walk over I predicted. It's probably too much for Celtic to come back now but maybe with better team selection for 2nd leg they can still cause problems at the Emirates. I think I'll start with the word of Pat Nevin from 5 live broad cast last night"I fear for Celtic at the Emirates", or Alan Green (useless Manc loving knob, Northrten Irish but thinks he's English coont) "Arsenal are looking comfortable and this tie is as good as over", Shall I go on Micky boy?
