Frenchy
Hello Forum - excuse the lounge intrusion.Has anyone here had any experience of VELFAC? It's the sister company of Velux - only they do doors and regular windows instead of rooflights. The product looks quite suitable for what we're doing, but we're not relishing a trip to their showroom in Kettering to find out more - and don't know anyone who's tried them so have no direct recommendations. If anyone knows anything, that would be a great help! red devil
Frenchy, on Velfac's website there is a gallery of projects, including the modern, white rendered house on Lacon Road in ED. This belongs to an architect, RDA (020 8299 2222). I'm sure if you give him a ring he will tell you more and perhaps even let you see the windows/doors...http://velfac.co.uk/domestic/gallery/?id=1844&epslanguage=en Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/50278-anyone-here-used-velfac-windows/#findComment-790192 Share on other sites
Frenchy
Didn't spot that.. thank you so much, RD. Will give them a try (and hopefully give Kettering a miss) Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/50278-anyone-here-used-velfac-windows/#findComment-790196 Share on other sites
archic
We use Velfac windows and doors quite often in our projects. Good clean designs they are !David.www.archic.co.uk Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/50278-anyone-here-used-velfac-windows/#findComment-796216 Share on other sites
Shankley
We've just had velfac installed in our property (clearly from the pics you can see we are only part way through the works!) and I have to say they are fantastic. We went for scandanavian pine internally which looks very modern and clean. Jenky
Hi Shankley, I'm looking at Velfac too - did you source the windows yourself, and if so did you use one of the Velfac approved joiners for the installation? I'm concerned about providing the measurements myself for the order, so would like someone to measure them accurately, especially since we have a bay window like yours.
