Dopamine1979
Need to do some decluttering at Dopamine Towers.Got piles of DVD's that we don't have time to watch. Thinking of using Music magpie. Anyone had any experience with them or similar sites. Do they rip you off? jctg
I don't think it'll be a "ripping off", more a slight disappointment. Just like a visit selling at the Music & Video Exchange. El Pibe
you won't get much for them. Perhaps give them to a youth club or something (if age appropriate) and get a warm feeling? jctg
Or put them in your wood burner (if you have one) for an even warmer feeling. Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/50206-music-magpie-or-similar-any-good/#findComment-789694 Share on other sites
*Bob*
I fed a load into the system last week, just to see. You download the app to your phone - then you use your phone to scan the barcodes on each CD and a price pops up. Which is lightly entertaining espcecially as prices do vary.. from 15p up to ?4 in my case. But overall I think you should expect about 30-40p per CD. That's all they're worth. They do DVDs as well. The only caveat is all the packaging and artwork has to be there - and if they receive the stuff and it's not good enough, scratched or has missing bits, you might get nothing for those - and I don't think they return them.System works well. You can opt to donate the cash to charidee instead if you want and still get that warm feeling.I ripped mine to Apple lossless first anyway. *Bob*
Just noticed you're selling DVDs mainly.. Prices vary a bit more for DVDs.. can be a bit more than CDs, but don't put the deposit down on the Lambo just yet. Dopamine1979
Will probably end up giving them to charity as El Pibe suggested. Keep an eye out for some good box-sets at St Christopher's charity shop, folks.
