Louisa
There's a lot to be said for a good iceberg. It pi$$es me off when a restaurant tries to posh up a prawn cocktail with rocket, blasphemous evil bar stewards. Louisa. maxxi
I like a little rocket covered by a hot steak - great taste when wilted by the heat and dressed with the meat juices. Robert Poste's Child
I don't mind rocket, but kale is like eating thistles. I hope it's good for you because eating it's no fun whatsoever. With kale you need to remove the center rib, and chop. It's good in veg soup, or in the Portuguese caldo verde. MrBen
When I lived by myself I quite often cooked a chicken roast for 1 as it worked out quite cheap. I'd do the meal, then make a chicken salad or sandwiches with the leftovers the next day, then I'd boil the bones up to make a stock and throw in leeks and some potatoes to make a soup. For about ?8 you'll get about 4 meals. aquarius moon
If I do a roast midweek I'll make 2 dinners exactly the same, wrap the 2nd plate in cling film & put it in the fridge to re-heat the next day in the microwave. It tastes just as good & there's no cooking to do & only a plate to wash up! MrBen
I was going to say "dont forget to use the bones too!" but then I remembered....If I was 100% veggie Sunday Roasts would hold far less appeal to be honest....not that roast veg aren't tasty...
