Arty teenager/ student needed for ?80 bookmaking project

Hello,

I have a simple but time-consuming task that might suit an A-level/ college art/graphic design student who wants to make some extra pocket money for Christmas.

I'd like all the text and photos from a personal travel blog entered into a book-making programme as I want to make my husband a hardcopy of our 'year away' blog. It's a simple task and can be done remotely (on your own computer at home). You'll need to be quite creative as you basically have free range to design a book using the supplied content and be able to work to a deadline. We'll need to arrange to meet once at the start so I can explain the project and once at the end to exchange the project and payment.

If you're interested let me know your age, what creative projects you've done in the past, if you have your own laptop/PC and if you could fit in an estimated 10-12 hours of work before mid-November.

It would look great on your CV too!

Hi skodaqueen,

I am a 17-year-old student currently studying A-Levels, including Textiles. I've completed numerous projects in the past, and I have some experience with photo-editing software such as PhotoShop. Luckily, I do have quite a lot of free time in between lessons, so it shouldn't be a problem fitting in your project. Also, I have 24/7 access to a MacBook.

Many thanks,

Hollie Milton

    • I have just read on open council network that Tesco had applied for an alcohol licence, and an ATM license, according to the article. Not sure if permission was granted, due to local opposition, citing another supermarket might encourage shoplifting and anti-social behaviour.
    • In an ideal world, yes, more tax would be directed to the justice system. Because a lot of suspects don't get a fair trial and wrongly convicted. Often they'll have a long list of previous, so police are picking the low hanging fruit. And because legal aid solicitors and barristers' pay is now so anaemic, they simply don't have the time to work a case and defend it properly. So you probably see more people behind bars than there should be.  It started with Brown and then got way worse with Cameron, when he essentially tried to turn legal aid firms into giant call centres and put the contracts out to tender. Even since then, the system gets squeezed more every year.
    • Courts are in session from 10am to mid-day then 2pm to 4pm. Four hours a day with a two hour lunch is probably the cause.
    • You pay tax to fix problems  you underfund stuff my faking tax cuts and the breakdown of the system is what you get there are no cheap or easy fixes. It will take money and time - and people lack patience
