    • Lets hope the poor lad is recovering well and these filthy violent robbers get some deserved justice sent their way sometime soon.
    • Your defence of your use of language reminds me of Johnson after England 'fans' caused trouble before, during and after the Euro 2020 final.  How ever much you loath the bloke, you have to recognise that he is a highly articulate person. Yet he descended to the language of the gutter by saying that "this lowlife should crawl under the rock they came from".  Rather than deploring their actions and saying that this behaviour did not represent what was expected in this country,  Starmer would have gone further and put them all in prison.  Thats an aside. Thanks Sue for your comment.
    • I was just trying to understand why my albeit strident description of such vile attackers, as fully described, should merit watering down. This attack wasnt, clearly in my view, some cry for help by a suppressed minority, which might be in some way excusable. It was vile and the perpetrators vile. To call my comment 'reactionary' is simply weird.
    • I don't think this serious and worrying thread is the place to have a go at cyclists who post elsewhere  on this forum.
